Summary
Introduced with the Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme Bill 2008, the bill makes consequential amendments to the
Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) Act 1990
and
Defence Service Homes Act 1918
to provide for eligible members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to transition into the new Defence Home Ownership Assistance Scheme and close the scheme established under the
Defence Force (Home Loans Assistance) Act 1990
to serving ADF members who have not yet exercised their rights under that scheme as at 30 June 2010.
